Un fatto è certo: oggi il noleggio a lungo termine può rappresentare una grande chance per il business dei dealer. A questo proposito, tra le novità che verranno lanciate a settembre, spicca un’innovativa formula di renting, proposta dalla concessionaria romana Carpoint con la consulenza comunicativa e di marketing di Matthew Watkins, noto consulente d’impresa nel settore automotive.

UN NOLEGGIO FLESSIBILE – L’idea è molto semplice. Rispetto al Nlt comunemente inteso, a mutare è la durata: invece dei consueti 3 o 4 anni, si parla di un noleggio di auto nuove multibrand di 6 anni, con la possibilità – e qui risiede il maggior punto di forza della formula – di cambiare vettura ogni due anni, senza alcuna penalità. “Si tratta di una nuova forma di utilizzo dell’auto – sottolinea Gerardo Savini, direttore flotte di Carpoint -, un prodotto del tutto inedito nel mercato italiano del Nlt, creato ad hoc per il cliente retail e per il libero professionista che vuole abbandonare gli ‘oneri’, sempre più stretti, legati alle tradizionali formule dell’acquisto e del leasing”.

AUTO E STAGIONI DELLA VITA – Facciamo un esempio concreto: immaginiamo di iniziare noleggiando una city-car, per poi passare a una station wagon e, ancora, a una sportiva. “Il più grande beneficio di questa formula è la libertà – osserva Watkins -, perché la nostra vita e la nostra disponibilità economica, nel giro di due anni, possono cambiare. Quindi, con un budget maggiore, ad esempio, scegliamo una vettura più grande e prestante oppure, in caso contrario, optiamo per una più piccola ed economica. Il tutto senza dover rinegoziare un nuovo noleggio o comprare un’altra auto, ma semplicemente ricalcolando il canone”.

Primary Responsibilities
In a dynamic growing environment of automotive performance assessment and consulting services, SGS as the global leading Testing, Inspection and Certification Company seeks an highly motivated automotive expert who wants to grow the business and explore new grounds .
We are looking for people with an extensive background in automotive dealership networks like like Service Managers, Warranty Managers, CRM or Quality Managers.

In conjunction with the global business expansion strategy of SGS in the automotive segment, the sector manager will be responsible for technical and operational development support in building and expanding SGS North American portfolio of services for the automotive Industry.

Besides the main focus area of Auto retailer performance assessments and audits the position is also repsonsible to increase the existing base of quality management system certification business in the automotive industry (ISO 9000 / ISO/TS 16949)

**THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED ANYWHERE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES**

Reporting to
The position reports to the SGS SSC Regional Manager North America and dotted line to the Global Automotive Sector Manager.

Specific responsibilities
– Identify the Voice-of-Customer in the area of the automotive services within US and Canada
– Translate the VOC into solutions that would meet these needs, i.e. customized services in auditing, training, coaching, verification and consultancy services.
– Specific areas
– Retail Performance Management Solutions
– Standard audits to the sales and after sales dealership networks
– Warranty audits
– Sales Incentive audits;
– Mystery audits;
– Other Customized Audit Solutions.
– Support International and Local Sales Managers (ISM / LSM) in identifying potential targets and preparing proposals for the following aspects:
– Translate the customer’s requirements into a technical proposal
– Identify the technical profile of the operational resources needed to deliver the service and support the local resource acquisition ref employees and freelancers
– Estimate the level of price acceptable to the market for the specific type of service.
– Identify and manage technical development aspects for possible new initiatives
– Support Operation Managers and Project Managers in the roll-out phase of new contracts.
– Ensure go-to-the-market capabilities exist through availability of capable resources , internal training and the existence and deployment of the necessary tools and briefing materials;
– Champion the US,Canada and Mexico regions to deliver the solutions successfully;
– Develop auditor capabilities and technical expertise to support growth and profitability targets in the region.
– Liaison with other businesses with a common objective in the automotive segment (Auto, CTS, Industrial, Environment);
– At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Competenze ed esperienze desiderate

Profile
– University degree in a relevant technical subject (mechanical or electronic engineering, science)
– Extensive professional experience in the management of automotive dealership networks (min 5 years)
– Successful track records in developing warranty , dealer network development or incentive audit teams
– Fluent in English, multiple language proficiency an advantage

Skills
– Extensive knowledge of the contractual relationship between OEMs and dealership networks
– Ability to understand customer and market expectations
– Well connected in the automotive business networks e.g. via LinkedIn
– Ability to work with sales and operational personnel
– Ability to define, plan, calculate and price new projects
– Ability to coach and train team members
– Ability to encourage service oriented mindset
– Foster enthusiasm and perseverance
– Ability to interact with all levels of management and clients
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ( highly developed presentation skills )
