Google punta sulle assicurazioni auto

Il colosso del web Google è intenzionato a lanciarsi anche nel settore delle assicurazioni auto, attraverso un sito “comparatore” in cui i consumatori possono confrontare i prezzi e acquistare polizze. Il servizio «Google Compare Auto Insurance Services» ha ottenuto la licenza per vendere assicurazioni in 26 Stati americani a nome di sei gruppi assicurativi.

Secondo il Wall Street Journal Google sta lavorando su Comparenow.com, una divisione del gruppo assicurativo britannico Admiral Group che opera in 48 Stati e a Washington DC. Google non rilascia commenti, ma secondo indiscrezioni sarebbe da oltre due anni che il gruppo sta lavorando sul fronte assicurativo.
La strada potrebbe tuttavia essere in salita: da un lato ci sono infatti le compagnie assicurative, che non sembrano gradire l’idea di condividere con il colosso del web tutte le loro informazioni; dall’altro, le autorità competenti potrebbero frenare le mire del gruppo, soprattutto in Europa, per il pericolo di “schiacciare” tutti i rivali.

OBJECTIVES – The main aim of the project “TPL CAR: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?” Was to provide citizens with full and complete information on auto insurance, so that the users themselves become aware of their rights, the various types of contract and, more generally, of all as regards the sector TPL car. Associations proponents renew the expectation that the project will lay the foundation for further work, also to be carried out in partnership with other public and private entities.
